This museum was a fun place to go - especially if you have kids. There were tons of hands on things to do and fun exhibits that will keep you entertained. There is a place where you can even watch fossils being worked on. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well. It's not a huge museum, so unless you do have children, it will probably only take an hour max. There are special shows if you catch the museum at the right time.
If you have the opportunity this is well worth anyone's time. There is something for all ages. It is well thought out. Large. Much larger than it appears from outside because of the creative use of space. The planetarium is GREAT. Buy a ticket and prepare yourself for an outstanding show. The employees are courteous. The facility is clean, well cared for.
i grew up going here and it's still a rad place to go. i like it better than a lot of natural hist. museums because it has a homely feel and lacks little or no content. never too crowded, and it's definitely a great place to spend the day!
oh, and check out the dynamax, it's sweet!
