NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky, Amsterdam

Vastly overated!! but that's Dutch London for you, to be expected

Great hotel, great location central to so many activities. Very clean room and bath. Staff was very friendly, quick and attentive. Great service. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in possible stay. I don't believe it is a five star hotel by US standards or others perhaps, but it is a good strong 4* by European standards. Would happily stay again and again.

We stayed in August and were overwhelmed by the overall class of the hotel. The location couldn't have been better (right in the middle of Dam Square.) The staff was friendly, professional, and inviting. Our room had a pleasant view and the ammenities in the hotel were excellent. We really enjoyed the bar to relax before going out on the town. Our friend recommended this place to us, and he is a genius for that. We will definitely return soon!

Brilliant place to stay and cant wait to go back

Despite looking a little unpromising from the outside the interior more than compensates.
The rooms are great with bathrooms to die for.
The staff are excellent and the restaurant supplies some of the best food I've ever eaten.

this place was great !!! The time spent in the hotel ( you know to change clothes, smoke, get some, etc...) was short because of all the things to do in Amsterdam, but coming home made this plac the best... fine .... fine... fine.... u take it from there. 5 stars!!

"The Kras" - as they call it - is a very nice hotel right with a fantastic history located right in the center of Amsterdam, just steps from the palace, and with many rooms overlooking the place where it all started: "The Dam." From its central location all of the great tourist attractions are within a reasonable walking distance, and it is also close to the Tram lines, should you not want to carry your luggage from the central train station. At the hotel the staff are all very friendly, happy, and helpful. The room was very clean, quiet, and nicely done, with a reasonable size comparable to American hotels. All of the restaraunts at the hotel looked great, although we chose to eat out on the town.

Prices at the Kras can be very steep (E 220 +) if it is a busy time, but they can also be very low if business travelers are sparse and you are brave enough to wait until the last minute deals are available.

Lovely hotel, almost "Pretty Woman"! Fantastic location, must be the best in Amsterdam. Rooms quite large, bed enormous!! How the other half lives but search on the internet for a good price and you can live it too.

The location of the Grand Hotel Krasnapolskyu is its main unique quality. What we enjoyed the most is its great service, good restaurant outlets, beautiful rooms and decorations and an impressive history. We enjoyed having a a beer or two in "The Lounge" in the hotel lobby. We experienced a grand view over Dam Square.
