bus station with rooms
By ,
Very much like a bus station with rooms attached. This resort hotel is extremely large and prevents the staff from being able to deliver anything other than perfunctionary service. Check in time is listed as 4 p.m. but we were unable to get a room till after 6. We were not alone and many of the people milling around the main lobby were also roomless guests and as disappointed as we were. Do not count on the hotel to be able to deliver an early check in so if you visit plan accordingly. Rooms in the historic part of the hotel were adequate but if you are older beware the tub/shower unit which in our room was somewhat dangerous, due to slope in the tub. Dining was somewhat below average for a hotel of this rating and again crowded, and we visited in the off season. The overall atmosphere at the hotel is one of "move them in, move them out" and truthfully not very relaxing. Nice views and location but overall a disappointment.

Making a reservation

The Inn is a wonderful place to bring a love one. The staff will go out of there way to make sure that your time is well spent or not spent at all. The Spa is incredible and the staff there pamper you with everything they can. I cant wait to go back!!!!

Magical Place
By ,
This Inn is probably my favorite place to visit. It is a wonderful place to get away. You can have them park you car and not see it again until it is time to go home. This Inn had everything. Plus, it's beautiful and the staff takes wonderful care of you. The spa...one word--HEAVEN. Enjoy.

Awesome spa and a grand old hotel
By ,
This is a beautiful hotel in the grand old style with verandas overlooking the grounds and a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Rooms are comfortable, food is great, but the spa is out of this world. It is a subterranean haven that seems carved out of rock with waterfalls, fountains, and pools. Large co-ed central indoor pool with thermal spas and massaging waterfalls - you could spend the day in here. Men's and women's areas offer whirlpools, saunas, and treatment rooms where you can choose the music, lighting, etc. After treatments, they escort you to a candlelit lounge with fountains, music, chaise lounges, and cozy blankets and offer you a tonic of your choice. Didn't ever want to leave.

Excellent Resort
By ,
We just returned from a wonderful two day stay at the Grove Park. The room was great, the spa was fantastic, and the service really added to our overall enjoyment. I highly recommend a stay at the Grove Park. Our view of the mountains and the property was beautiful.

Simply the Best
By ,
Beautiful hotel. Nothing better than looking out over the mountains while enjoying a drink on the gorgeous deck. Also, the Spa is a must-see, and has excellent packages. Overall, my favorite hotel in Asheville.

Disappointed
By ,
We stayed in the older part of the hotel, so this is just a review of that...The room, for as much as we payed, was nothing spectacular, it even had the paint chipping off the walls. The "hot chocolate", which was not complementary at the least, was just water and cocoa powder, and the staff...I have seen better. Overall, I was disappointed, for it was such a beautiful hotel on the outside.
