This bistro in the center of Athens is one of the city's oldest restaurants. The old-world charm of its decor, the large selection of food and the affordable prices have made it a very popular eatery for both lunch and dinner. The mainly Greek cuisine features all classic dishes such as moussaka, stuffed tomatoes and eggplant with minced meat, as well as the whole range of Greek appetizers and salads. International dishes and tempting desserts are also served.
The food was good if not great, but the service, surroundings and elegance put it in the 5 star class for ambience. It was reasonably priced - though the portions could be more generous. Pleasant cuisine, but could be a bit more exciting. (The 1 star rating was an error - it should be 3 stars overall. Sorry!)
I love the variety of dishes,the central location,and the
welcoming smiles of the owners, Andreas,Spyros,and
Dimitris,and something more,it stands there for almost
a hundred years.
