Description

East meets West at the Walters. On one hand, its collection spans nearly the entire history of Western art. Its spacious galleries are home to Greek and Roman statuary, Baroque carvings and a large collection of Renaissance paintings. On the other hand, its elegant Hackerman House wing holds one of the largest collections of traditional Asian art in the United States.

Totally Meets My Needs
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/2005
This hotel is in a good location with a beautiful church right across the street. The hotel staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The place is old, no doubt about it. If I were coming to Baltimore to spend my days in the hotel, I'd probably stay somewhere else but if I'm coming to Baltimore to see the sites and have a safe comfy place to sleep at night, I'd definitely recommend the Biltmore Suites.

Doesn't live up to potential

Someone could turn this into a neat B&B.

If you're budget minded....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/2005
The service was poor, the place was run down, the rooms were "charmingly" decorated with dollar store plastic flowers. It was dirty and un-kept. This historical building could potentially be a charming place for lodging, but it doesn't seem the owners care to keep it up or offer good service to their visitors. Very disappointing indeed.
