Suda - Best Thai Food On Earth
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/01/2007
My family loves eating and trying out new things especially when traveling. Suda is by far the best Thai restaurant we have ever tried. We went twice on our last visit and nothing really compares. We have tried a number of establishments in Bangkok, both the ones written up in travel books for foreigners and the ones you pass in the streets. This is where you can find no-nonsense, value for money, authentic Thai food. I recommend the following: deep fried white snapper fish cutlet w/ fresh garlic & chili tamarind, deep fried hot fish cake thai style, stir fried tuna w/ basil leaves & chili, stir fried tuna w/ cashews & chili, fried squid w/ garlic & pepper, pad thai, tom yum w/ prawns, fried rice w/ crab meat, fried rice w/ vegetables. A kind reminder, for those who are discerning w/ ambience, this is an open-air mom & pop type of restaurant. No frills at all, emphasis is all on the food. Also, being authentic thai food, some of the dishes may be spicy. Take the BTS sky train and get off on the Asok stop. Suda is a corner eatery in Soi 14. Last we were there, they had Pepsi plastic table covers. Enjoy and Bon Appetit!
