This museum houses a vast collection of artifacts from the ancient world, the crowning glory being the altar from the Zeus Tempel in Pergamon (180-160 BCE), one of the world's most significant archaeological finds. The museum is also home to parts of the magnificent Antique Collection, the East Asian Collection, the Near Eastern Museum and the Islamic Museum. The electronic guides for visitors are very informative and are available in several languages for a small fee.
Well i went to this museum to find some chicks, intelligent chicks. It was a bad idea because i also wanted them to be oh so hot! Next time going with dumb chicks in a nude beach, by the way this place sucked
Hello Zair, here is your information. I hope you "use" it well.
I didn't know what the Pergamon was, but as I walked around, I thought it was one of the coolest things to see in Berlin. One of my favorite things was the free headset that explains the history of things, which is the part that you least find out about. I also suggest buying the museum pass for 6 Euros, since it is a much better value to get into all the public museusm.
It gives you an incredible sense of history, especially when you are in the Altar of Zeus and Ishtar gate, when you are surrounded by larger-than-life Greek sculptures... it truly is a place one must see in Berlin... but not if you are in a hurry. give yourselves some 4 long hours. at least... indulge in time.. and history
