Located within the Beverly Hilton Hotel, Trader Vic's, a popular nighttime spot, features a delicious Polynesian bar and menu selection. It's a traditional tiki bar straight out of the 1960's with tropical fruit drinks galore and a decor to match. Listen to music by the likes of Don Ho and watch the trendsetters pack the place on weekends and most weeknights. This is an experience you won't forget and feels strangely “L.A.” even though the decor and menu are decidedly foreign.
I was on a shoppping trip with a friend and was told that the Hilton was wonderful place to stay. When we checked in the lady at the desk was rude and actually made a joke about what we were wearing! Like our clothes wasnt good enough. When we got to our rooms, there were no towels in the bathroom or clean sheets on the bed! When we complained, we were told that maybe we should go to a different hotel if this hotel wasnt to our liking. I would suggest to anyone who is thinking about staying here to please think about this review before you book a room.
One of my friend had an outpatient surgery in Feb, 04 near the Beverly Hilton. In order for her to have a good recovery, she booked the hotel so she does not have to fight for the traffic right afterwards. The check in time was supposed to be 3:pm and we did not arrive in the hotel until 10pm because of delay in surgerty. To our surprise that the room was not ready even though it was 7 hours after the check in time. We waited in the lobby for more than 30 minutes and the room was still not ready. When I complained to the front desk, their attitude is that if you travel enough, you should know the room may not be ready in any hotel. I understnd if the room is not ready for 2-3 hours and not for SEVEN hours. After we finally in the room, the service people opened the door without knocking and closed the door without any apology.
This is the worst experience I have with any hotel. They are stuck up because they are working in "Beverly Hills".
