Bonn's "Rhine Promenade" is the longest river promenade along the Rhine, which is central-Europe's largest river. The 29 kilometer (18 mile) walk is packed with cyclists, walkers and roller bladers. It goes through the Rheinaue and many nice beer gardens. From the Bonn side, you get a wonderful view of the Siebengebirge, while on the other side, you can enjoy the sun for a bit longer. It is possible to begin your walk on one side, then travel by ferry to the other side. If you're a walker, be sure to stay out of the bike lane; many Bonners bike to work along the Rhine!
