One of the "big cheeses" in Bordeaux, if not the biggest, this shop, close to the Grands Hommes market and the Cours de l'Intendance, is often full of informed customers selecting from the quality selection of cheeses on offer. With chèvre (goat's cheese), cantal vieux or cantal jeune, gruyère and emmental, just about every cheese gets a look in and customers are simply spoiled for choice. This is a welcoming shop where you can count on expert advice to suit your tastes and needs, but it's best to avoid Saturday mornings when the whole of Bordeaux is out shopping, and you're likely to face long lines.
