Elephant Tree Discovery Trail, Borrego Springs

The Anza-Borrego Desert State Park hosts many hiking trails, yet this one is home to a rare sighting. Three elephant trees, which are extremely rare, may be viewed along this trail. The trees are known for having short, fat trunks and twig branches. Beyond the elephant trees, you may also encounter much vegetation along the trail, like the ocotillo, cholla, and barrel cacti.
