Marshal South Home Trail
Description
In 1932, Marshal South, along with his wife and three children, inhabited the home found at the top of the hill. With no running water and no electricity, the family "lived off the land," eating native foods and making a home in the desert climate. In the present day, this popular trail leads hikers along an extremely steep route. The trail lasts approximately one mile, with the remains of the Marshal South home at the top. Grab your hiking boots and get ready to climb your way to a bit of history. But, remember, the trail is very steep and best-suited for seasoned hikers.
