Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse
Description
Boulder's sister city Dushanbe, Tajikistan, donated this ornate building to the City of Boulder more than a decade ago. Builders imported and erected more than 30 tons of material to build the structure, which was finished in 1988. It quickly assumed a prominent role in Boulder history. Now a popular gathering place among locals, this cultural spot serves an array of exotic cuisine (Burmese Coconut Curry and Tajik Plov for example) and fine teas in rooms boasting bright designs and colorful African artifacts.
I love Dushanbe. The food is honestly wonderful and also very original. If you are looking for something different, definitely try this place. I've never been dissapointed with the food, try the vegetarian koofta balls-they're excellent.
The variety of food is pretty impressive, and it is all very good. They have a huge assortment of teas, some of which are unusual, and all of which are high quality.
