Hidden away off the main Western Road in Hove, this pub received a welcome face-lift in the late 1990's. Popular with students, after work drinkers and the under forties it's a friendly, mellow pub. Wooden floors and benches give a traditional feel to this small, cosy watering hole. The world cuisine menu is very impressive, everything being freshly prepared on the premises using no GM products. Most meals are under £4.00 which is excellent value as portions are huge. Specials include sweet potato pie made with yams and whole grilled squid in salsa. Sunday lunches (meat or veggie) are around the £4.95 mark. Food is served Su-Th noon-9p & noon-7p F & Sa.
