Description

This hotel is situated outside the city center, but is convenient for the famous Petofi Institute. Unusually, the hotel is shaped like a cylinder. Its' unique shape makes it a clearly visible landmark from any elevated point in the city. It is best to get a room on the upper floors from where you'll get a good view. The rooms are all quite spacious even if they are shaped like slices of cake.

We were fortunate in having room 1117. Fantastic view of Parliament, Basilica and Castle. Beautiful sunrise and set. Late Feb. Tram 18 outside the hotel takes you to Moskeva Square which is a Metro hub. Day or 3 day ticket available at window, English spoken no problem. Cog wheel railway opposite hotel worthwhile, kids would enjoy etc or get your skis out. Recommend Museum of Fine Arts, Heroes Square etc and Gellert Hill, (tram 18 outside Hotel) Downside of hotel is the restaurant. Very Poor!! Also, no swimming pool or Sauna, which we were led to believe existed?? Cab was fixed price from airport at 5800 Ft.
