Description
Towering cliffs dominate the skyline at Vermilion Cliffs. This is a 3,000-foot escarpment that shows seven geological formations one top of the other over the millions of years. This cliff formation is spread over 294,000 acres and is a national monument and a geologic treasure. With the towering cliffs, deep canyons, it has fantastic sandstone formations, which include the Paria Plateau, Coyote Buttes and Paria Canyon. The elevation of these cliffs vary between 3,100 to 6,500 feet.
