Windsor Hotel, Cairo

The Windsor is a lovely old style hotel in the centre of Cairo. Great access to local attractions such as the Cairo Museum, the Nile, Shopping, and wondering the streets of Cairo. It may be downtown but it is easy to get to the Pyramids of Giza and Saquara and also to leave Cairo for trips to Alexandria and also the Red Sea. The hotel has a wonderful feel to it, very old style making a great place to relax after busy day exploring Cairo (the bar is especially relaxing with great furniture and a relaxed atmosphere). The bedrooms are as you would expect at this price, clean, comfortable and roomy. The food was great and served with a smile, but then again everyone in Cairo seems to smile. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will tell all I meet that if budget accommodation that exceeds expectation is what you want the the Windsor is the place to stay.
