Whiskey Creek Saloon and Steakhouse, Calgary

There is no shortage of Western-themed restaurants in Calgary, but most seem to be either too phony-cowboy (one regularly features rap musicians) or too hick. This Eau Claire saloon, located in the Eau Claire Market, manages to find a pleasant middle ground by adopting a "movie-set western" style. In fact, Whiskey Creek Saloon and Steakhouse was a set piece from the movie Legends of the Fall. Their beer is fresh and cold and served in wonderfully curvy ergonomic glasses. The menu consists of the sort of steaks, ribs, chicken and burgers Clint Eastwood would probably enjoy.
