The Malatesta Fortress was founded during the late Roman and medieval period in order to defend the city of Cesena, and it's the third of such fortifications, built not so far from the ruins of the previous two. The castle, animated by the cultural association Conoscere Cesena (Get to know Cesena), attracts thousands of tourists and students, offering differentiated learning paths and guided tours, both daytime and nighttime. Malatesta Fortress also offers a full calendar of various events, especially during the summer: concerts, shows, pageants, medieval festivals, exhibitions and much more!
