I have just stayed at the Peninsula for a Christmas shopping trip to Chicago. This hotel is the niciest hotel I have ever stayed at. The rooms are HUGE, very clean and very tastefully decorated- plus they have amazing gadgets I have never seen in a hotel before. The large bathroom, separate shower, TV in the bathroom, and controls for the entire room at one station beside the bed were amazing. Book a car through the hotel to get to and from the airport and you will be greeted at the door and do not have to go through the check-in process. They meet you at the car and take you straight to your room. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to EVERYONE.

A new, beautiful, modern hotel with so many gadgets that you cannot find in any other hotels. The room is big and the bright marble bathroom with TV just amazing. This is like heaven compare to those old big name hotels I stayed. The huge high ceiling lobby and dinning area is so Grand. It was nice listening to some music playing at the dinning area. The breakfast is excellent, but the noodle ordered at dinner is overly salty. They really need to improve the cooking quality. Another disappointment was the Shanghai restaurant, since I had been to a few Shanghai restaurants. The food wasn’t even Shanghai style and the cooking was just OK.
The downside is the room felt a bit cold and dry, it needs some plants or color and humidifier to make it livelier and comfortble. The other thing is poor cell phone signal.
