Red Planet Diner
If they gave an award for the most peculiar place to dine in Sedona, there's no doubt that this diner would win, year after year. Where else can you sit next to a eight-foot-tall alien or order Lunar Linguini? More than a hundred UFO photos are featured in this unidentified-style eatery. Enjoy a Meteor Shower Shakes with your Vulcan Veggie Burger and mingle with the aliens. Most meals are in the USD6-15 range, with alcoholic beverages priced from USD3-6.
We stopped in at the Red Planet Diner on Fathers Day... our party of 9 was seated with NO WAIT! The waiter was friendly and the food was very good! As for the price/considering the large portions the price was just right, plus you get atmosphere and uniqueness, this is the place to stop. We also had no pushy times share sales experience... The place quickly filled with others/kid friendly/people friendly! No where in Castle Rock, Washington do you get to drink your soda directly from an alien (sippy container).
This place is a tacky alien themed burger/diner joint. We left after 5 minutes of waiting for someone to acknowledge we were there. Menu is burger joint type food and overpriced.
There are other places in Sedona that are much better to eat at.
We went into the diner for a late sandwich around 9pm. A man came by and asked us how the food was and how the service was. We assumed he was the owner or manager. In a matter of minutes, we were accosted with a time share sale. It was so annoying to have to listen to his very strong sales pitch when all we wanted was a sandwich. I would NEVER go back unless I wanted a time share at Los Abrigados hotel. It was a nightmare experience. It really turned us off to Sedona. I wasn't sure where else we could go without getting a very strong sales hit for Los Abrigados hotel.
