This oasis is tucked away in Tlaquepaque Village and specializes in innovative breakfast and luncheon fare. Among the organic and pesticide-free selections, you will find a morning quiche bar, Foccacia French Toast, Baked Brie and Artichoke Salad, "Secret" Shrimp Samba (with coconut and red curry marinated shrimp and sizzled ginger noodles) and a Twice-Baked Goat Cheese Souffle with braised figs and pecans. Diners enjoy meals in a garden setting, replete with flourishing foliage, sculptures and comfortable furnishings. The cafe features jazz music on weekends.
My husband and I went to this pretentious little cafe for a cup of coffee and a muffin. We asked the waitor if we could sit outside and he said yes. Right in the middle of our repast a waitress came over and told us that we had to vacate our seats for people who were ordering a whole meal. We were incredulous! I asked to see the manager who was also the cook? He said that the waitor had made a mistake and that we couldn't finish our half-eaten muffins outside. He didn't charge us for the muffins but did keep the tax portion of our payment. We were furious and embarassed. Needless to say the dry muffin and coffee went in the trash. This went beyond bad service. We had only been there about 5 minutes, our food was half eaten and the restaurant still had seating available to others!
