Darby's Sink Cave
Description
About five miles off the west coast of pancake-flat Barbuda, this spot is not really a cave but a sinkhole. About 350 feet in diameter and 70 feet deep, it is full of vegetation, including tall trees that grow inside the scooped-out terrain. A rare species of tree called the Mari grows here and has been used for construction. You'll also find palmetto palms, sweetwood, turpentine and loblolly trees. The site is certainly worth a visit.
