Coral Princess Hotel & Resort, San Miguel de Cozumel

Coral Princess is a good resort if you get a super deal! The rooms are older but very clean. The restaurant is average at best. The Pool is one of the smallest I have seen at a resort, and the water was freezing! There is NO night life. The snorkeling is some of the best on the island. Resort not good for little kids. There are stairs that you jump off of to get into the water and the water is 18 ft. deep. The dive shop is excellent and do a good job. You need a taxi to get into San Miguel, the walk is about 2 miles. Taxi fare = 3.00 one way...

We had a group of 6 and reserved a three bedroom suite the day before we were suppose to arrive in cozumel on Travelocity. When we arrived, the front desk did not have our reservation on their computer, and they didn't have a three bedroom suite available. Instead they gave us a two bedroom suite and a one bedroom with an ocean-front view. Other than the front desk mishap, we had a great time at this hotel. The 2 for 1 drink special at the poolside were the hightlight at this hotel. The food at the hotel were a mixture of american and mexican -- out of 5, I would give it a 3.5. The rooms were mostly clean; although, the appliances in the kitchen looks like they haven't been used in years. The bathroom, too, were starting to show its age. Each of the rooms had windows that can be open for goregous view of the ocean -- Totally priceless. One more thing, don't venture too far out into the ocean. It may look calm, but the currents can take you out to sea.
