El Cozumeleno Beach Resort, San Miguel de Cozumel

I just got back from the El Coz Aug5-8th We took 10 family members 3 of them children 13, 11 & 8 . We all had a blast. The Hotel was very clean the rooms were nice and clean and the staff was always there and helped us with everything. The food was o.k. There were many things to choose from when eating just was not alot of what my family likes to eat but, was not bad. Overall great deal for the money and a fun time was had by all

THIS WAS THE WORST TRIP I HAVE EVER BEEN ON. THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE. THERE WERE 6 OF US IN OUR PARTY. WE ALL GOT SICK AT LEAST ONE DAY WHILE WE WERE THERE. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SO MANY FLIES AND BIRDS HOVERING AROUND FOOD. THE ROOMS WERE ADEQUATE AND THE DRINKS WERE GOOD, BUT THAT'S IT!

I HAVE BEEN TO COZUMEL TWICE .STAYED AT BOTH ENDS OF ISLAND TAKEN I CHILD BOTH TIMES(8YRS) WHEN WE MENTION GOING BACK ALL WE HERE IS I WANT OT STAY AT EL COZMELINO WE AGREE! FOR THE PRICE IT IS THE BEST DEAL WE HAD GOOD SERVICE & GOOD MEALS NO PROBLEMS AT ALL WE WOULD RECOMEND IT WITH OR WITHOUT CHILDREN

I got engaged here almost 2 years ago, and my wife and are planning to make a trip back here for our 1 year anniversary. We liked this almost as much as the Sandals resort we stayed in for our honeymoon in St. Lucia. But considering the price (@$1,500 for a week compared with 5,500)... we're heading back to the El Cozumeleno!

We were very happy with our stay.... Beautiful resort, and friendly staff..We are giong back in August for a 7 night stay, instead of a 5 night stay!

i loved the staff was great and friendly not to say that we were in the middle of a tropical storm. and the staff was very helpful during that time and i will never forget the great time i had at that wonderful resort

We recently returned from our stay (Jan 05). We stayed in the newer section and our room was great. The shower was huge! The couple we went with stayed in the older section and had problems with their shower/hot water - which I don't think got fixed. The food was OK at best. Would have been nice to have something other than hamburgers/french fries every day at the snack bar. The restaurant, which required reservations, wasn't that great either. The beach was nice, one part was pretty rocky, but that was where we saw the neatest fish when snorkeling. Most of the staff was very friendly and they liked their tips. We plan on going back to Cozumel next year, but we may look for somewhere where the food is a little better. I would consider returning here, but not until I've experienced other resorts to see how they compare.

Thee physical facilitiy was excellent as was the room service except for the fact the hot tubs and pool were colder than the ocean. Who can play on a beautiful tennis court that has no fence around it? Too many lost balls. The inside restaurant that required reservations was much better than the buffet one for dinner, but breakfast and lunch choices were OK. Service everywhere was outstanding. Beds were too hard for many people we talked to. Bug bites were a problem and the staff had no good suggestions for treatment. Golf course was across the street but no shuttle service provided to guests. We had to pay for a taxi. Good dive shop and snorkel tours.

well what can i say, i went last april, and i loved it. the only regret i have is not taking my kids. going back in may and taking everyone. parents, kids, wife and niece. if you want to go load up! fun for all! if you are considering staying somewhere else, think again. i will start here: there was a strong wind while we there. kind of a cross wind, that cut across the beach. really made the clarity bad in some areas. not our beach... it does not show in pictures but there is a dike that goes out about 100yds that protects the whole beach. while other resorts beachs were tore up, ours was nice. everyone was swimming and having fun, while people next door, were wishing they stayed here. food was o.k. what can you expect for a all day buffet. you wont go hungry. the restraunt was very nice and good food too! the room was nice also. nice view of the ocean, wake up early enough to see the sun rise. the room was very clean, so was the entire hotel. all public bathrooms were very clean. the beds were a little hard, not too bad though. it is a great vacation for all...

My husband and I love the hotel. I think it was great for the money. The food was just ok, but there was lots of it and it was all edible. The hotel did not have hair conditioner so bring your own, and all of the things you forget like alovera gell cost like $12 so don't forget stuff like that. But some really good things were that we weren't asked to tip ever and the timeshare people never talked to us!!! Anyway, we loved it and would totaly go back actually we are talking about going back for our aniversary.
