Description

This tiny island just off Cozumel's northern coast is part of the state-sponsored wildlife refuge located in the Abrigo Bay. Almost no one visits this island and consequently the beaches are filled with birds and wildlife. Fishing is permitted but since there are no scheduled tours those interested in visiting must hire a boat. For the hearty hiker in search for an adventure there are trails leading from the North Punta Molas Road to the island. Contact the tourism board for more information.

Passion Island great family adventure
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/06/2005
My family also enjoyed our trip to Passion Island. We booked excursion from ships also not sure what to really expect. We had about a 1/2 ride to area where we were ferried to Passion Island. The time went by fast because the tour guide of bus was very entertaining. Not complaints from our 8 and 9 year old about long bus ride. We all enjoyed the beach and buffet and free drinks. On the way back we had option to get off in town to do a little shopping in town. Highly recommend this excursion!

Isla de Pasion!
By TomNDebbie G, 07/06/2005
My husband and I visited this paradise in September of 2003. After almost a year we are still yearning to return! This tiny island is truly a paradise! The sand is clean and white, almost like stepping in baby powder. The water is blue and gorgeous. We were on a cruise and booked our excursion though the ship. Jorge (George) Deluca was our guide and he was very funny and informative, we were treated like royalty the whole time. On our visit they had a buffet set up with alot of fresh authentic food of the region..Delicious! There was a bar that we visted often. All the beer (Coronas), tequila, margaritas, and rum punch you could hold was included in the orignal price of $68.00 a person. We got our moneys worth for sure! Plenty of chairs, shade, restrooms (clean) and hammocks are available. They had a person coming around to take pictures and she took the best pics of us! We took almost 200 pictures during our cruise and these were by far the best. After 3 1/2 hours on the island we hated to leave. We are going on another cruise to Cozumel in December and hope to return to Passion Island once again. If you are in Cozumel I highly reccomend this excursion. You won't regret visitng the most beautiful beach in the Carribean. If you want a peek at the island, watch for the next Corona commercial on TV, They shoot the commercials on Passion Island.
