Inn at Tamarind Court, Cruz Bay

Although it has rather pedestrian rooms and a roadside location, the Inn at Tamarind Court often fills up with budget vacationers and old Caribbean hands who want a bed just a short stroll from Cruz Bay's shops and restaurants. Air conditioning keeps the street noise down. The courtyard is lovely, with old trees, stone walls and umbrella tables. Residents and visitors gathering for Friday night happy hours or dinners prepared by an array of island chefs. The food is especially good on Monday's Greek Night.
