Description

The Burj Al Arab Hotel is one of the finest lodgings in the world. Its breathtaking design (to resemble a billowing sail) is as startling as it is creative. Burj Al Arab is located in the Jumeirah Beach area of Dubai, 15 kilometers (nine miles) from the main city center and 25 kilometers (16 miles) from Dubai International Airport. It is well served by taxis and has its own fleet of ten chauffeur driven Rolls-Royces. It rises on a man-made island 280 meters (919 feet) offshore and is linked to the mainland by a slender causeway. The hotel ascends to a height of 321 meters (1053 feet), dominating the Dubai coastline. At night, it offers an unforgettable sight, surrounded by choreographed color sculptures of water and fire. This all-suite hotel is the finest the world has to offer.

It was very nice

we stayed feb 09 very nice a bit over the top and nobody talks to you, we have been but would not go back. We love the jumeirah beach and go about 6 times a year, gave the burj 5* as it earns it.

Worth every penny

The architecture of this place is breathtaking, you just cannot take in all of its features. You gaze upwards and your jaw drops in awe. The service is superb with your own personal butler and the suites are fantastic. If you compare what you pay here as opposed to say The Ritz in London, this represents much,much better value and a location and climate to die for. (Except June/July...phew!!!) The only trouble is that once you've been here, everywhere else sort of pales. Oh and the person who gave this place a one star rating has obviously never stayed here. Try it, I guarantee you will love it. Mike

The best experience

For the two weeks for which I stayed at the Burj-al-arab, I felt the most humble, and content I have ever felt in my life. The staff were absolutely outstanding, catering to my every need. And just the whole experience was truly heart-warming. I will definately be coming back.

A Place to find yourself drifting in pure relaxation

By profession I am a Tourism and Hospitality Educator with speciality in Hotel in-house taining. After inspecting the property, services and all the relevant quality issues to be evaluated by ISO and HCCAP programs I came to the conclusion that Burj Al Arab is the altamate quality and quantity destination to be. With me saying "destibation" and not a hotel I wanted to stress the fact that a visitor can find and enjoy everything he/she pleases. Indeed the Burj Al Arab is one of the very few hotels in the words that keep our minds open and our wishes fullfiled for it's glory but yet it's human nature!
