Joe Pena's, Frankfurt Am Main

Decorated with Latino wall paintings and lit by candles, this busy Mexican cantina near the university is popular with a young and trendy crowd. Joe Pena's is often very busy, but the staff always manage to keep on top of things. Guests can sit out on the terrace during the summer and dig into the usual Mexican fare. The portions are generous and the prices reasonable. A highlight is the huge selection of tequilas, but make sure you come early, as happy hour finishes at 8p. There are occasional performances by Mexican musicians.
