William Edrington Scott Theater

Description

When William Edrington Scott, a member of one of Tarrant County's founding families, died in 1961, he left $3 million to help develop Fort Worth's cultural district. Broadway scenic designer Donald Oenslager designed the 493 seat theater in 1966. It features several technical bells and whistles. The performance space is now rented to various production companies, as well and business and civic groups. Concerts and fund raising events are also hosted here.
