Ristorante Montallegro
Description
This old restaurant was originally opened in 1913 in downtown Genoa by the grandfather of the present owner. Then he moved to the hill and the restaurant is now located next to the terminus of the funicular railway Zecca-Righi. The terrace has beautiful views overlooking the city and it is renowned for its typical cuisine at reasonable prices. The chef, Signora Gemma, offers all the food of the Ligurian tradition: pansoti (ravioli dressed with a walnut sauce), all kinds of pasta with pesto or seafood, grilled fish and king prawns. If you prefer meat, there is also a large choice including favorites like Cima a la Genovese, a local stuffed breast of veal.
