Voltaire & Rousseau
The name and atmosphere in this shop (it even has a winter fire and sleepy cat) lend it a certain Dickensian flavor and in fact it's the city's oldest second-hand book store. The location attracts students hunting down cheap textbooks while an eclectic stock covering a broad range of subjects brings in everyone who reads for the sheer pleasure of it. They have every genre of literature imaginable — Proust to Jackie Collins and everything in between.
Loved the fact that this store had so many bargains.Good books at a reasonable price. They have a great part as you walk in where everything is a pound. They also have a friendly cat called Boris.Worth a visit.
