Awesome south rim walking path

The south rim Grand Canyon walking path I walked for 3 hours runs in front of the historic lodges and east for a few miles. There is bench here and there to rest and take in scenery. Take bottled water in a fanny pack. Around every bend in path are priceless photo opportunities...this paved path is several feet wide..in places runs only inches from drop off into canyon...other places is several yards from the rim drop off. I walked it at sunrise and took awesome pics. Returned to rim cabin around 9:00am with unbelievable memories on a super walking path. Wear athletic shoes. Then took the free shuttle West to Hermits Rest. The lookout points along this route shouldn't be missed but the road is closed to cars except winter months...must take the shuttle that leaves ev. 30 mins.
