Sunset is the place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/2005
We have family in Henderson so when we go to Vegas we take our 7 y.o. son with us. The Sunset has a Kids Quest day care on site that our son loves. The Sunset also has numerous restaurants on site as well as a movie theatre. We have stayed at the Sunset approx 6 times over the last few years and while we have had a few problems the overall experiance has been very good to great. We highly recomend this hotel and are actually going to be there in March.

Poor room
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/2005
Lights did not work. Did not receive requested room--reserved a king non-smoking, but got two queens. Very uncomfortable bed. TV internet service did not work and caused much frustration until we gave up and asked for a refund of the fee. Hotel charged an "amenity fee" for nothing that was of any interest to us. This was not made clear during reservation. Card meant to make charging items to the room was actually more cumbersome than using a credit card--had to show identification and undergo a signature comparison.

Very Nice Hotel and Casino!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/2005
We enjoyed our stay at Sunset Station 3/05. We found the accommodations clean and comfortable. As it turned out , we liked the location a few miles out from the Strip. I think it is a great place at a great price!

Great place to stay
By RICARDO L, 06/06/2005
We've stayed at this hotel several times, and I highly recommend it. The price is great, much lower than strip hotels. It's in a very nice area. A large mall and shopping center is walking distance from the hotel. Many restaurants inside hotel as well as within walking distance. Movie theatre inside hotel. Has a good sized casino area, but it's a different crowd than the strip. Much more family friendly. Less crowded. Not as much smoke smell. More casual/laid back atmosphere. The pool is great. Very large and clean. I highly recommend it.

Worst experience in Vegas EVER
By Stephanie, 06/06/2005
This hotel was a nightmare from beginning to end. We were placed in a room on the 10th floor, directly below major construction on the 11th floor. We were woken up at 6:00 am to the sounds of sawing and metal pipes clanging. We requested to be moved to another room and found the noise to be just as loud. We requested a refund as we had checked in at 11:00 pm the night before and technically gotten little sleep in the $200/night basic room. The "manager" Eric was ridiculously rude, sarcastic and combative when we complained and actually threatened to call security when he realized he had no customer service skills to actually utilize. We left immediately after paying the "reduced" rate of $125 for four hours of sleep and will never ever never ever stay in a Station casino again. For $200/night you can get a great room in a decent strip hotel. We went to the Flamingo and were treated like paying customers, which was a nice change after the Sunset Station. Take my advice, stay somewhere else.

Sunset Station Hotel & Casino
By SteelMill, 06/06/2005
My husband and I stayed last week at Sunset Station. It seemed like a good alternative to the strip hotels and the price was right. Part of the reason we chose this hotel is we were promised $200 in Discounts and Coupons upon check in. We found this savings appealing. What we found is that throughout our stay, no coupon book was provided and the excuse was "they've been at the printers for more than 3 weeks". No manager would talk to us, no compensation given. We were told "oh well, it's not that good of a coupon/discount book anyhow". Poor customer service was the norm and our "suite" was little more than a room with two beds and a couch. Very disapointing. They couldn't pay me to stay there again.
