Try something else...for now
By ,
as stated earlier, great staff and service...good place overall but the room and facility were from the 60s(im exaggertating a bit)..."gym" featured a hand full of machines...beds were old and springy, carpet was tearing and ceiling was stained from previous leaks...and we were in a deluxe suite!...no comparison to hyatt in maui...to they're defense, they will be undergoing some renovations in the near future, so we'll see what they bring.

Nice place to stay
By ,
I haven't stayed in awhile but when we used to stay here all the time - up until all of my Hyatt reward points ran out :( We always stayed on the Regency Club floors so the rooms were pretty nice and the service was excellent. They really treated us like we were their #1 guest.

Location was excellent since Waikiki beach is right across the street. We usually go during Aloha week when they have all of their festivals. One of the events is a block party where they close the main street in Waikiki and have 7 blocks of food booths, stages for entertainment and craft booths. It's a great time to go. It usually happens mid-September.

Nice place to stay, but beware of the extra charges!
By ,
There's one big reason to come to Honolulu, and that's the beach at Waikiki. For that purpose, the Hyatt Regency Waikiki can't be beat. Great location by one of the best beaches I've ever seen. However, for the price, I was expecting the rooms to be a little nicer, and I couldn't get over all the extra charges: for the in-room coffee, slippers...are they for real? I expected a bit more for my money, but with the gorgeous Hawaii weather and hospitality, it was hard to complain.

Hyatt Hula
By ,
We recently spent a week at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The staff was very friendly and courteous. We had a late night flight home so when we checked out of our room they held our luggage and we spent the day at the beach. Then they opened a hospitality room for us to shower and get cleaned up. All in all it was a great stay at the Hyatt.
