Hotel Room
By Ryen R, 06/06/2005
This hotel is across the road form the beach. The room is fine. The Hotel doesn't have anything for entertainment. The hotel stay is just like staying at an older Marriott or Hilton in any other part of the country. However, it is in a good location. The Hotel is a place to sleep and thats it. This shouldn't be a problem there are plenty of things to do on this island. So if you want a decent hotel for a good price. Stay here.

This Hotel saved my trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/2005
I went to Hawaii last month for a wedding, several family members also went, but i had a room by myself because i wasnt' going to go at first. So i chose one of the Hotels (Qeen Kapiolani Hotel) that my relatives were staying at. The package was thru Tavelvocity. I Queen Kapiolani was a crummy run-down mildew smokey, roach motel. So we checked out, there's no way i could have stayed there. We didn't have extra money to spend for another Hotel, so we put our money together and stayed in one room at the Marriott. The Marriott's staff was so helpful, it was around 2:00 am and they gave us, the best deal that they could, plus let us stay that night free, because they felt sorry for us. So we got to check in this room at 3:00am, in a family delux room, we didn't get the view of the beach, we were on the other side of the by the parking lot, but we didn't care. The Marriott saved our trip from being a disater. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, we felt relaxed, there was plenty of shops right inside the hotel, the food was great, the pool, everything was wonderful. I suggest that everybody just save your money and stay here, instead of a cheaper hotel.

Great location, great staff, a view from every room.... even ours! No problem at check-in or out, and great business service while there.

Great Poolside Lounge
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/2005
I did not stay at this hotel but I did go to the poolside lounge several times. Great atmosphere, nightly entertainment, faboulous tropical drinks, I wish I could watch the sunset from here every night.

We're looking forward to retuurning.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/2005
It was a very pleasant stay with a better than average atmosphere. Helpfull employees and the hotel extras like coffee shops and convenient store, gift shop and mall type shopping was a great touch. I recommend it for your island stay.

I would stay again!
By Podaddy, 06/06/2005
I would stay there again. We had a Deluxe Ocean View on the 24th Floor that over looked Waikiki Beach and the Pool area. Great Sunset Views. I would have to agree that the evening entertainment at the pool bar was a little loud occaionally. Once we closed the sliding glass door we were good to go. The Pools are open all the way until 10:00 PM. We stayed at another hotel a few years back and the pool closed at 5:00 PM. That is something you might want to consider. If you rent a car you can either Valet for $19.00 or Self Park for $15.00. I would recommend Valet. You can call for your car and it will be ready by the time you get downstairs. I was going to Self Park and drove up like 5 levels without finding an open space and turned around and just gave the car back to the attendants. The rooms were pretty nice and our bed was really comfortable. I thought everyone that worked there was really nice. There are two ABC Stores and two Seattle Best Coffee Shops on site and some other shops as well but overall everything was quite convenient. I gave the Hotel a 5 for location and an overall score of 4. The reason for the lower score is I think parking should be cheaper.

On the beach...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/2005
The Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort and Spa is located on beautiful Waikiki Beach on the island of Oahu. We were able to stroll Waikiki Beach and the shops and stores that are across from the beach. The staff is very friendly and set us up with some recreational activities for everyone on our group.

Wonderful
By Julie, 06/06/2005
Wonderful location-across the street from the ocean right on the main beach strip. Nice little shops, a balcony, and a delicious tropical fruit basket to boot.
