Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, Honolulu

They were a lively croud. NOT. They were not helpful at all and had no emotions towards the guests. The rooms were clean and well stocked with shampoo, soap, etc. The walls were so thin you could hear the people in the next room talking. The first night we were there, they played Hawaiian music which was relaxing. But they kept playing past 11 pm. We were tired and called the front desk who said they couldn't do anything about it and its Hawaii, there's noise everywhere. Some service they served. We tried switching rooms to get away from the music but it didn't help much. Plus their attitude. Hotel staff should usually be helpful, cheery, positive. The staff here were negative, not helpful, and gloomy. The only thing that was good was that was it was close to the beach, comfortable beds, and the satellite tv.

Lovely rooms, great location, and some of the best views I've ever seen. If there's a better way to spend your vacation, I haven't found it yet. We were lucky enough to get an ocean view, and my husband and I sat on the balcony and watched the sun set every night. Spectacular. There's plenty of stuff to do at the resort--we loved the Polynesian revue--but if you're smart, you'll spend most of your trip on the beach, soaking up the sun and enjoying the beauty of Waikiki.

Great view of Diamond Head. Very expensive for moderate size rooms. Clean w/ good service. Nice pool w/ bar. Very close to resturaunts and shops. Good parking. On Waikiki Beach. Good, but expensive ($15) breakfast buffet. Hint, buy one of their souvineer mugs from the downstairs resturaunt on the first day. They give free refills of coffee or soda for your entire stay.

This hotel was fantastic! It was right across the street from the Main Waikiki Beach and on the main strip of Waikiki Beach. This hotel was awesome!!! Would stay here again!

The Marriott Waikiki is an excellent hotel just across the street from Waikiki Beach. The hotel facilities are quite elegant, and the rooms are top notch. The rooftop pools are a bit underwhelming, but you should be spending most of your time at lovely Waikiki Beach anyway! The beach is just across the street. Of course, it would be nice if this were a true beachfront hotel, but you will find that there are relatively few hotels right on waikiki beach and most of those that are will fetch a pretty penny. This is an excellent 4* value and highly recommended.
