Owner is a real JERK

A few years ago we stopped in without a reservation. My wife negotiated a decent deal with a gal working at the front desk. The owner over heard the "discounted price" and blew up. Screamed at the employee, told us to get the F out. I nearly decked him, but didn't want to end up in jail. I travel for a living and have NEVER been treated so badly. I complained to Hampton corp, but he is independent My advice, stay away!!! A year or so after the incident I read that his roof got destroyed by a hurricane, there is justice. (I hope no one was hurt)
