Tropical Inn Johor Bahru, Johor Baharu

One of the oldest sizable hotels downtown, Tropical Inn features a weather-worn facade and is a landmark easily recognizable from the southbound roads leading towards the Causeway. Towering at 25 storeys, it houses a commercial arcade, coffee house, lounge, Chinese restaurant and generous parking space. The rooms are designed and furnished from circa 1980 and have remained unchanged except for wear-and-tear replacements. Otherwise, standards of service are acceptable and its pricing remains competitive among its peers.
