great location, great value for money, but the service is terrible the jazz at the shook is one of the best experiences in life

I stayed for 5 nights and it was not a good stay. One receptionist looks friendly but was not knowledgeable on check in policies. I should have read the reviews first. Two mornings I have to ask for newspapers. Unlike some other hotels, breakfast was the same every morning. The key card is sometime faulty.

the room is ok, especially the bathroom is very nice. But service is totally out, never greet people when people come out from a taxi; will always look up to mat salleh first.

I was told that JW Marriott is a riot. I was wrong. JW Marriott is really old and its decor is realy cheesy. It was supposed to be a top-notch hotel in KL but I just didn't get the feeling. The rooms are very standard and I would classfy their rooms as 3stars (North American Standard) even though they claim to be a 5star establishment.

Waiting to get checked in was an ordeal. There wasnt a line and there were people just waiting everyone. The management seemed to be very disorganized.

Don't bother eating in this hotel since KL has so much more to offer in terms of exciting food. So make a trip down to the local joints if you can. The hotel is located minutes from the major clubbing and shopping zones which gives it a plus. There are other hotels in the area that I suspect might be way better and newer. This one's just too old!
