A reputation well earned

I stayed at Caesars March 11-14 in the Forum Tower. I originally booked the trip as a birthday surprise for my girlfriend, who loves Celine Dion. It was also NASCAR weekend, therefore, rooms were at a premium. Celine was outstanding, even from the balcony. Tix are expensive, you have to walk through a metal detector...cameras will be confiscated, but she was worth every penny (my girlfriend cried the whole show--Awwwww!) Loved the Shadow bar, even though I got "velvet roped" without my hot girlfriend. The rooms in the Forum Tower were average size for sure, but nicely equipped (slipped the desk clerk a $20 and got an upgrade to a jacuzzi room at no charge). There were not enough electrical outlets however for phone chargers, hairdryers, camera chargers, etc. Anytime I needed anything, someone was right there--at check-out on Monday, I got a porter within 5 minutes of calling--and it was very busy. At check-in, my bags were in the room within five minutes as well. Everything was first class and first rate, from the hotel staff, restaurants, clerks, etc. Can't say anything about the gaming area or staff because I did not gamble much at Caesars. Not sure if I'll stay there again simply because of the "been there done that" factor. There are more hotels I'd like to experience. The worst thing about it was that you have to work hard to find Coca-cola products. Pepsi haters beware. It was fun even for a working schmoe like me.
