Hotel as dirty as the \"Guests\"
By ,
We stayed at the Excaliber for 1 night. We planned to stay 4 days, but one was quite sufficient, thank you. Where to begin..? First of all, as we walked in the front door it was obvious this was a "budget" motel. EVERYTHING seemed to be covered in a thin venier of old cigarette smoke, and smelled like stale smoke. The carpets were dirty, unattended, unbathed children were EVERYWHERE. The rooms seem dark and old, and have the same cigarette smoke smell. The Bathrooms are in desperate need of upgrades, beginning with a tub(showers only!!),tile replacement and a good cleaning. The service was poor,at best. Every single employee seemed middle aged, tired and wanting to be in a different place. Old meals that were placed in the hallways stayed there for the better part of our stay. By far the worst, however, were the other hotel Guests. This seems to be the place for poor, rural, white Trailer Park America. Truly awful people. EVERYONE smokes. EVERYONE is obese. EVERYONE is loud. It is not like I am a health or neat freak, I even have an occasional cig myself..but Jesus, CLOUDS of smoke are everywhere.. In short, If you want to see how the "Other" folks live, Head on Down..And don't forget the disinfectant.

Check-In DELAY!
By ,
Once we had checked in, our experience at Excalibur was fun. The slots were 'loose', the casino was clean, and the food was good. Unfortunately, all of that still didn't make up for the LONG wait to get checked in when we arrived. There were 2 employees checking in new arrivals, (of which there were 75+ in line), and 2 employees standing at the check-out counter with not a single person checking out! Me thinks the Kingdom needs new Management!

Can't wait to return
By ,
The rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful. The only problem was it is towards the end of the strip but it is still located around some other very nice hotel such as New York New York, Luxar and MGM. Will return!

Too Dark for Me
By ,
I don't mind staying at the ExCalibre for one night trips to Vegas, but the dark, depressing room would really bother me if I were there longer. I've stayed several times (while traveling thru Vegas) and have noticed dirty lamps, dirty windows and curtains, dirty carpets. Not bad enough, though, to stay at a more expensive hotel, but not what I would expect at a three star hotel. If ExCalibre were to simply brighten the roooms, they may even get me to stay there during my vacations at Vegas. Usually, on vacations, I will stay at the Luxor or similar hotels.

Great Hotel for a family
By ,
It was a great hotel for a family. Nice room and good service. We did not need to travel far to eat. McDonald, Krispy Creme, and and the buffet was great as we did not need to leave the hotel if we did not choose to. The service was there within minutes upon request. The pool was not great for teenagers. The pools were only 3ft deep and no entertainment around the pool. I would definately consider staying here again.

Great Location in Las Vegas
By ,
Excalibur is close to all major cassinos and atractions in Las Vegas. No problems at all with the hotel. We got a great price for the whole package (air tickets + hotel) on Y!Travel.

It was okay...will look for other hotel next time.
By ,
Stayed here with two children because of midway, arcade and pools. Called week before and was told both pools were open, but when arrived one pool was closed making other pool overcrowded. Room was rundown in need of overhaul and new mattresses. If you're going swimming request tower two, if you're in tower one you have to walk clear through the casino to get to the pool and spa area. Sherwood Cafe food was very good. Buffet for lunch was okay for the price. Arcade, midway was fun, but available in Luxor also which seemed a lot nicer. Guess for the price, hotel is good value, but would pay a little more for a better hotel. Probably won't stay here again.
