Description

Once a family-friendly resort, Treasure Island is now TI and updated to a more adult theme that is present even before you enter the doors with the Sirens of TI, a show complete with cannon fire, sword fights and scantily clad vixens. The casino area is filled with a multitude of table games, slot machines, sports and race books. After a 2003 $65 million renovation of all guest rooms and suites, the hotel's accommodations are not only extremely comfortable but exquisitely decorated as well. All rooms offer views of Buccaneer Bay, the pool areas of the Vegas mid Strip.

Great Place to be Fri Jan 21 16:42:22 PST 2011

The place is very quiet, not sure it's good or bad for others. Room service is fast. Requested towers comes a bit late though. For that price, it is good price. Fri Jan 21 16:42:22 PST 2011

At the heart of las vegas
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/11/2005
A truley amazing city deserves a truly amazing hotel and without a doubt Treasure Island is one of them. One of its main benefits is t.i.'s position, as when we went it was in the middle of all the action. As its an easy distance to down town or to the opposite end of the strip. With t.i. being sister hotel to The Mirage you get best of both worlds. One word to remember is that they are trying to attrach a younger crowd by changing its apply. That is one of the reasons why me and the rest of stag crew stay at the t.i., however when we went there was a mix crowd. Altogether Las Vegas is a truly amazing place that doesn't go to sleep including yourself.

Can't wait to return!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/2005
I thought the entire trip was great. I don't think we could have picked a better hotel. There were so many things to do everyday and the location was great, right on the strip. This hotel was very clean, and relaxing. We will defintely come back to this hotel next time we're in Vegas.

$$$
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/2005
Our friends told us before the trip that if you want free drinks, plunk your behind down at a slot and wait for a cocktail waitress to come by. Sometimes, that was a task and a half. Other casinoes were better, but don't be surprised if you have to shell out 6 bucks for a cold beer in some casinoes. The Sirens of TI is an awesome show, make sure you catch it when it's dark. Hotel guests get a nice viewing area, but if you're 5'3 like me, you can get a better view from the outdoor bar. Just get their early for a good seat!

The way we were treated was completely different. They were so nice, no matter where you were in the hotel, the workers were nice. We felt welcome.

Stay and break a leg
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/2005
For my first time in Vegas, I wanted the best my money could buy. I got the penthouse suite for a long three-day weekend. On the second morning, I slipped on a drink that spilled in the casino and broke that little bone beneath my knee cap. Management got security as protocol to make sure the situation was contained. I was finally wheelchaired to my room and was CHARGED a wheelchair fee. We had to leave immediately to go to my personal physician, and I was greeted with a phone from management said they feel that I slipped on my own and I had to sue to see the video. THIS is the service you can expect.

I wish I could move in!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/2005
I stayed at the Treasure Island in June of 2003 for four nights and absolutely loved it. The rooms aren't huge, but are a good size and are decorated in pretty, soft goldtones. The bed is the most comfortable one I have ever slept in. There is a nice little sitting area with a round table and two armchairs near the window so you can look out and enjoy the awesome view. If you can afford to, upgrade to the tower deluxe room, which will get you on a higher floor and guarantee you a great view. The bathroom is pretty because it's done up in marble, but it would be nice if there were two sinks and a seperate shower and whirlpool tub. Oh well, it's still gorgeous. Be sure to eat at the Terrace Cafe -- it's my favorite! They're open 24 hours, they have a nice relaxing atmosphere, the food is pretty good, and you won't pay an arm and a leg for it. I got the nachos everyday there and they are the best I've ever had. I can't wait to go back and get them again (I'm going back to Vegas this July and yes, I am staying at TI again). The staff is very friendly and do their best to accomodate you. I like the fact that they have a Krispy Kreme there. The hallways and the mini lobby on each floor of the hotel will make you feel like you're in a five star hotel, even though TI is only rated at 4. They definitely fooled me! The pool is small, compared to the one at the Mirage, but it's still very nice. All in all, I have to say I was VERY impressed with TI and can't really think of anything negative to say about them. I was able to relax from the minute I got there because of the vibe there. I made the mistake of staying at the Mirage last year and am very sorry that I did. The service was not nearly as good and that really ruined my vacation for me. I have seen a lot of mediocre or bad reviews for TI and it makes me a little sad because I had a great experience there and I think that most everyone would. My only word of caution is that this hotel recently shifted to a more adult theme (sexy "sirens" or scantily clad women in the pirate show) so it's not appropriate for young children. I think it's great for just about everyone else, though. The location is great, the rooms are gorgeous, the people are friendly, and the vibe is right. I LOVE this place and can't wait to go back. It's the best vacation I've ever had! Good luck and have fun!!
