Best riding school in Liverpool
By ,
Hi i am a rider at Croxteth and i like it very much , i have learnt a lot from here and feel encouraged to try new things , my daughter also rides here and i sometimes feel that her teacher has a right go at her. I feel that she is always getting picked on and singled out. I do however have a complaint , some of the helper always look very tiered and there is always someone standing doing nothing, on numerous occasions i have heard swearing on the yard.

Croxteth is amazing!

Hi, I'm a helper at croxteth, I help every saturday! I dont really have anything else to do so I help at croxteth when ever I can. I dont have many friends at school but I've made really good friends at croxteth! My favourite horse is Kanga, he's the most amazing horse ever, I dont really like rookie but thats just my personal opinion. My favourite instructor is Guy, he's left now and I'm really sad because he was really good! He was good looking aswell ahah, i fancied him abit! But all my other favourite instuctors are still here, there all really good at teaching and I feel as though my riding has improved loads! I would recommend croxteh to anyone, its such a lovely enviroment to learn to ride in! Soph xx

Hi I'm Lili W and I go riding every Thursday at 4.30. I love it, and whoever said that the horse may have killed you and that they have terrible conditions is wrong, the horses are well kept and have lovely temperaments. I don't know who yvette is but I no who viv is. She is an amazing instructor and has taught me so much.you can have lessons wether you are an adult or child so if you live n Liverpool and want to go riding you have to join Croxteth its amazing (and if you're wondering it does do pony club and novice days- where you get look after a horse all day) and I love it there. I yhopee ths review is helpful for you. P.S.... Now old do you have to be to become a helper??? I would love to become one!!!!! I'm 11

Simply the best!

My daughtter has been riding at this school for a two years now. Her previous school had really knocked her confidence and the instructors and horses at CPRC have brought her on brilliantly. The instructors are fully qualified and the horses always excellently turned out and in great condition. The horses are chosen for you to bring you on and swapped regularly to give you experience of different mounts. It caters for all ages and abilities and also is a Pony Club center where members can do day rallies, certificates, badges and summer camp. There are regular competitions and day courses available in school breaks to members or non members. There are also hacks around the beautiful parkland. I highly recommend this school to anyone.

depends what day your lesson is
By ,
ive been at croxteth for a while now and first i loved it however recently it has gone down hill over the years i have been taught by many instructors however the lessons have began to bore me yvette has taught me a few times recently and we seem to have spent most of the lesson on the center line fiiting in only one canter compared to the two or 3 different excercizes other insturctors plan. also when i have rode of a weekend it appears that there are a lots of children whom im assuming dont get payed running around the yard looking worn out and weary some looking after 2 children and ponies at once with obvious struggle and others doing nothing. i have been looking around for another riding school and my advice to anyone would be to ask for a lesson which the owner teachers otherwise your not going to improve at all . however despite the boring lessons and obvious use of tired children the school has taught me lots the ponies are lovley as are the horses and they are always imacuatly clean and ready on time. i just wish i could stay there but its apparent the standards of teaching have sliped.

Good but...

Hello, I ride at Croxteth Park on a Saturday morning. I find the horses are always very well groomed. Most of the time, the staff are nice, but there is a new instructor on a Saturday, whom several other clients and myself find very irritating. We make no progress in lessons any more, and she can make you feel very small and embarrassed if you ask her for help. We prefer the other instructors. Another thing, there are helpers which run round with young children, I sometimes feel after watching these that it is not fair. You see some, running around sweating, and then there is a tall girl helper just watching, who never seems to do much work, but seems to always ride. Also, they need more working staff on Saturdays.

I
By ,
im fayemarsden i go on tursday at 4:30 eery week and i have been going for a yea.My favourite horse ever is my likkle baby is Piglet obviously, i am hoping to get him on my nextday course, next friday!!!my second one, i really want piglet because last time i got saon my fae mare ,but shes slow soooo...well ok ,but any i have been beging mellissa. i hope viv gives me him last time i fell off so thats why had shannon, but i stil loved and wanted him, hes just to cute but i like his personality too. crockie is a really good riding centre and they be fair to wich horses you get on day courses and stuff, because i fell off and it would've been dangerous to go on him aain. i ride piglet regularly and he loves me as much as i love him , next year going to be a helper yay!!!cant wait , cat wait to join pony club either!!! So if anyone is thinking of riding crockie is the place to go the instucters are nice, the horses are naughty wich is good because they improve your riding(well piglets a little speedy and some are slow i meant by naghty!) and the atmosphere is just happy and fun , theres allways things to and your allwaysprovided with help when needed so why not go its fun, its exiting and youll allways be fecited(very exited)to go so ignore those anoying people who say its bad and join. PS:when riding schools like ceockie are outdoors you lean how to control spooked horses and its like a hack in an arena!!! los of love from, Faye Marsden, who
