Le Pont de la Tour, London

Mid-August.Took my sister and husband. She was just finished 2nd round of chemotherapy. We were seated outside, which was great,as it turned out to be a beautiful evening. Staff were very attentive and helpful, though became distracted when a large party arrived inside the restaurant. This did necessitate a change in our waiting staff; however, the overall service and ambience was still outstanding and we appreciated the manager on duty arriving to apologise for the slight delay in our meal, and offering an after-dinner drink in reparation. We have waited much longer in other restaurants and staff have never even noticed! My sister was unable to face too much food on her plate and the kitchen staff went out of their way to be of sympathetic, but discreet assistance. We have been to this restaurant about six times over the past few years when in London, and have always had a good experience. We are booking it again for a dinner for six, over this Christmas holiday period - inside of course
