The Oxford and Cambridge is a riverside pub found in the shadow of the ornate Hammersmith Bridge, roughly half way along the course taken by the Oxford v Cambridge Boat Race. Packed to the rafters on Boat Race Day, during the rest of the year this is a generally quiet local pub, but with a surprisingly modern feel. During the week, an older clientele can be found propping up the large central bar, while at weekends a younger, local crowd liven up this otherwise relaxed establishment. Sky Sports is shown on a big-screen TV, and there's a top-quality pool table, a darts board, a jukebox and a roaring fire.
