A Hidden Jewel

The Royal Sonesta was great! The food was excellent and the service impeccable. They have a gorgeous courtyard and pool area, and you wouldn't imagine that something so beautiful could be right in the middle of the French Quarter. It really is a hidden jewel.

Royal Sonesta-NOLA

Although our room was not serviced when we arrived, the amenities were nice, including the pool area. Overall, the majority of the staff members were pleasant. The hotel is on Bourbon Street, which is a great location.

HEART OF THE PARTY LIFE!

The Royal Sonesta was not only a gorgeous hotel, but it's located right in the heart of the party life! I stayed in a corner suite looking right down on Bourbon St. and it was incredible! The service was fast and efficient and my overall stay was definately worth a five-star rating!!

Delightful hotel!!!

Absolutely loved it! It's the sort of place you would see in a Cary Grant movie. The hotel was beautiful, staff was great, the rooms clean, and I can't wait to go back.

Ride out the Hurricane at the Royal and be treated like a King

My supervisor and I were in new Orleans for the NSC and stayed at the Royal Sonesta despite Hurricane IVAN we enjoyed our stay we were trapped in the city with no way our to Indiana. The staff were excellent and the food was supurb. My first time in New Orleans and will not be my last. I will stay at the Hotel when ever possible.

Always Clean and the Service is Exceptional

The Royal Sonesta is the only hotel we will stay at. We have stayed there on numerous occasions. The rooms are always clean and nicely decorated. Staff at the Royal Sonesta has always been extremely helpful and nice. The location is perfect, you can walk to almost anywhere, and just a short walk to catch the streetcar (the only way to get around New Orleans other that on foot). We would highly recommend it to anyone going to New Orleans.

We liked it.

We liked the Royal Sonesta. The service was efficient and the people were nice. The parking rate, I feel, is ridiculously high ($28 per night). Be sure to get a room on the courtyard rather than Bourbon Street if you want to get any sleep!

your room will be clean, but you will die of thirst. the bartenders are terrible. accomodations are fair, but substandard. rooms are very small and comforters are never washed! I had a (very old) lemon under my bed for a week. it also took 3 hours to check in. (Check in was supposed to be at 3pm). They also charge 26 a day to park at the garage without telling you about it, it is not mentioned at check out, you pay as you leave... hello, "suprise" -- room service and maids were great, everything else needs work. Pool refused to play any music and closes at dusk.
