better than expected

i stayed at the new york hilton from the 25th of feb to the 3rd march.the hotel room was spotless.although i requested a smoking room i did not get one.but it was to my advantage.as all the smoking rooms were below. the 15th floor.and i was on the 27th so i had a great view and smoked less.the location was tops. 5 min walk from central park.20 min walk to empire state building.staff very friendly and helpfull.i was there as a tourist and im already planning to go back.

Nice place for a business stay

Great place to stay for business and access to midtown shopping. Short walk to Central Park, 5th Avene shopping and Radio City. The only cons is it is far from downtown bar and lounge scene. Service is excellent and rooms are very nice. Nice living at an affordable prices for manhattan.

Can't wait to return

The service was wonderful from the moment we walked in. The room was great, the bed was comfortable, the room size and bathroom size were more than sufficient. The only things that I will criticize was that there was paint chipping off the ceiling in our room and the coffeemaker leaked all over the dresser. It was nothing that would keep me from coming back, however.

Great deal

Great location and an excellent deal on priceline.com. Service was very good and friendly. Room was fairly small, but ou are in New York and shouldn't be in the room much anyway!! Walking distance to broadway shows, NBC and some great restaurants. Highly recommend it!

Great place to stay in the Big Apple

The Hilton New York is one of my favorite places to stay in New York. The rooms are huge by New York standards and the staff is extremely helpful friendly. Centrally located, the Hilton is practically across the street from Radio City Music Hall (fantastic place to stay when the MTV Video Awards were hosted last year!), a few short blocks away from Broadway theaters in one direction and Central Park in the other direction. Don't talked into staying at one the "boutique" hotels -- you can't lose with the Hilton!!

helpful and friendly staff ensured our room was comfortable and well equipped.we were able to book tours,shows,helicopter rides and limo services from the hotel booking o ffice. our room was clean and comfortable with a well stocked mini bar and coffee making f acilities. a great hotel to stay at.

Nice digs for a megahotel; great location

NYC's premier megahotel and event center. But they don't skimp on the accomodations: rooms are comfortable, modern and a bit larger than you might expect. Location is super convenient in the west 50's--corporate headquarters, Carnegie Hall, Central Park, 5th Ave shopping, and many museums and interesting restaurants are all nearby. Don't bother with the in-house restaurants, there are better choices in the immediate neighborhood.

Surprisingly good hotel

I've had several long stays at the Hilton in New York. I was surprised the first time - I received excellent service from the friendly staff and the room was quite large (unusual for NYC) with an incredible view. The hotel isn't super hip or trendy, but it's very comfortable. Highly recommended.
