Big Apple Fun
My two children and I stayed here in April 2005. The location couldn't have been more convenient to the sights and sounds of the Big Apple: right on Times Square with its bright lights and hustle & bustle, with many subway and bus lines within a couple of blocks. On the same block as the hotel was a Jamba Juice and Dale & Thomas' popcorn shop. Directly across the street was Tkts, for half price theater tickets! Comfy beds. Good size room and bathroom. Very clean.
The only flaws during our stay were:
1. I had to ask three times before our rollaway bed came;
2. The concierge gave us incomplete directions to Yankee Stadium. (We were on the right subway line, but he failed to mention that it's an express train during commute hours! Fortunately, a nice New Yorker heard our dismay at passing our stop and told us how to return on a local train....); and
3. The mini-bar refrigerator has sensors that bills you if you even move one of the bottles! (Front desk did remove the charges upon my request, but still....)
The hotel is a bit expensive, but with limited time in NYC, it was worth it to be so centrally located.
