Niagara College Teaching Winery, Niagara-on-the-Lake

The Niagara College Teaching Winery is the center for wine education on the Niagara Peninsula and the only teaching winery in Canada. The Winery & Viticulture Technician program was first established in 2000. It offers students hands-on experience producing award-wining wine. They recently introduced a post-graduate certification program in wine business management. Visitors can tour the facility by appointment. They also offer educational tours and lessons on various aspects of wine-making. Wines can be purchased at the campus wine store. Varieties carried at the store include pinot noir, chardonnay, baco noir, Riesling, sauvignon blanc and even a dean's list vidal ice wine.
